Summary:

The Staff Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations, daily patient rounding, and treatment and discharge planning.

Provides psychiatric services to adults and children with serious and persistent mental illnesses.

Evaluates patients by interviewing patient, family, and other persons; conducting physical examinations; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results.

Knowledge of methods and procedures in the field of general medicine; and of principles of the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment plans.

Regular discussions with patients about their problems; help them find solutions through changes in their behavioral patterns, the exploration of their past experiences, or group and family therapy sessions.

Total communication (verbal and written) and consultation with clients, center staff, and other agencies as requested.

A successful candidate will have a background of working in a matrixed, team-based environment, experience with adult (and pediatric) populations, and passion for helping persons with mental illness achieve optimal physical, mental, and social health and wellness outcomes.

Inpatient Child Adolescent Psychiatrist: Focus on patients: You will complete initial psychiatric evaluations, assessments, discharges, patient documentation, treatment team meetings, and daily care of assigned patients. Setting: Mostly inpatient with optional available OP, PHP, or RTC volume available if interested. Flexible scheduling options: Open to variations of block scheduling or Monday-Friday; Open to hybrid in-person/remote arrangements. Minimal call/weekend coverage: 1:5 Saturday/Sunday rounding and once per week evening call (phone only). Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) Psychiatrist
